So yesterday was kinda exciting...

Last night we sat the kids down to have a ‘serious talk’ with them. We made sure there were no distractions, TV was off, iPads closed. They could feel a storm was coming, the look on their little faces filled with dread. Of course, there was nothing to fear - we were just going to let them know we had booked up for Florida again for next year (being the responsible parent I am however, I couldn’t let a great opportunity like this pass without some small amount of mischief on my part :) My kids will probably grow up with the same dysfunction and pass it on to their own children (and therein my legacy fulfilled ;)

I digress. I fully anticipated the announcement to be met with a big shrug and with the typical indifference usually accompanied by 'great news, kids’ (similar to Chloe’s response in this classic: Lily’s Disneyland Surprise….AGAIN!). It was not the case. They went crazy! :)

So back down to Earth for now, we still have over a year to go but no doubt Ill be dusting off the old digital quill and ink bottle before too long and be back with more vigour that ever before. Sorry in advance… ;)
