Day 18 · 4 July 2024

Day 18: 4th July Shopping

Alarm was to the sound of Star Spangled Banner and other American classics like Sweet Home Alabama because today we celebrate our Independence Day! (ok that was a quote from the movie that’s on TV right now and I’ve always wanted to say that). And since the parks are going to be jam packed today (even more so that last night), we chose to do some last minute shopping. Not much to say about today, so this will be a brief one.

I got a really good deal on a new Apple Watch which has been long overdue. Robert and Ann got some more trainers, Ann more sports gear from Under Armor, oh and I got some Project Rock shorts (no comment). And surprise surprise Patrick went back to Barnes & Noble. Also tried to track down some ZOA at several different places but no dice.

Home to the hotel and packed some cases :( We then got ready and went out to Olive Garden for the third time this trip. The food and service is great but the unlimited breadsticks and soup/salad just tip the scales - we love it.

Last hour of the day in the pool and we can see the fireworks for the 4th July off in the distance. We broke our fifth marathon overall today even though we didn’t do much walking. No photos today either so added one from tonight for the title image, look how happy Grace is now the sun has gone down! Hollywood tomorrow for the final act at Galaxy’s Edge and maybe Guardians in the morning at Epcot if we manage it!
